Are you thinking about writing, or have you already written, your memoirs, the rich tapestry of your life? Congratulations! It is a remarkable achievement to have written your memoirs or indeed to begin to write them.
Having worked with numerous memoir writers over the years, including the wonderful Alice Taylor, I have been graced with insights into fascinating aspects of writers’ lives and the history of their time. My life has been greatly enriched by their memoirs.
Many authors now choose to self-publish and this workshop is designed to introduce self-publishing to the independent local history author, providing step-by-step guidelines. It will outline how to avoid the common pitfalls and will guide you on the path to becoming a successful, published independent author.
Memoir writers preserve a personal history that is often a collective one. A vital and important record of one’s own existence and of a time in history captured in words.
Siobhán has worked with many memoir writers, and with a three-decade-long professional career in publishing, she is perfectly positioned to help you to get published and to give you the advice you need.
This online half-day workshop, facilitated by editor Siobhán Prendergast of Dingle Publishing, full member of AFEPI Ireland and Advanced Professional Member of CIEP, will take place on Saturday 15th May, 9.30–12.30pm, as part of the Irish Writers Centre professional courses for writers.
Tickets cost just €43 for IWC members or €48 for non-members.
